Braga Trasformatori designs and manufactures transformers dedicated to railway applications, compliant with IS365 standard – edition 2008, in both single-phase and three-phase versions. These transformers are specifically designed to operate in railway environments, characterized by extreme conditions and high requirements of reliability and durability over time.
Each railway transformer is custom-built, with primary and secondary voltage values defined according to the technical specifications provided by the Customer, in full compliance with the IS365 standard. All models undergo special impregnation treatments with anti-mold insulating varnishes, which guarantee their functionality even in the presence of mechanical vibrations, wide temperature ranges and variable environmental conditions.
The design takes into account the peculiarities of the railway sector: the transformers are built to offer resistance to vibrations, protection against overvoltages and maximum operational reliability even in critical scenarios. Specific construction solutions for the sector are also adopted, such as the use of brass hardware and fiberglass or GP03 plates.
