CAUTERIZERS

Cauterizers for animal use

Our company has been producing cauterizers for animal use for over 60 years. Our experience results in a robust and reliable device, effectively usable even with large animals.

The device works on the incandescent blade principle, which is made of a special material designed to withstand the most severe operating conditions and therefore guaranteeing a very long life.

The dimensions are such as to allow instant operation and cauterization: this is very important since the inconveniences of insufficient and slow cauterization are eliminated.

A switch allows to vary its temperature as needed, according to cutting requirements, thus making the device suitable for any subject, whether adult chicken, chick, or other birds, and also to correct any voltage variations.

The device is equipped with a stand: this makes it possible to use it directly inside farms, eliminating the need to use support tables which are bulky and impractical. The blade action is obtained by means of a pedal; it is thus possible to have both hands free to freely handle the subject. The beak trimmer is supplied complete with power cord and a replacement blade. The beak trimmer can be equipped with a fan to extract fumes from cauterization, and with a cable with industrial plug.

Beak Trimmer

Why trim the tip of the beak?

Simply to avoid cannibalism in all its forms, such as irreparable wounds in the cloaca among hens, feather plucking, foot mutilations in chicks, egg breaking, etc. The debeaking operation is the only method that eliminates this vice without any inconvenience. Appetite is not compromised by this small operation and it does not generate any disturbance: this is demonstrated by the fact that this practice is now customary in the most advanced countries in poultry farming (United States, France, Netherlands, etc.). This practice is also spreading rapidly in Italy, since all breeders are well aware of the damage caused by cannibalism.

Tail Docker

Why amputate the tail of pigs?

Tail docking, or tail amputation, is practiced simply to prevent cannibalism among pigs, a phenomenon that manifests itself mainly with tail biting. This phenomenon tends to increase with the spread of industrial-type farms, without bedding and with intensive feeding based on cereals and commercial feed mixtures. The consequences of repeated tail biting are serious, due to the pyoemic forms that can result and that lead to the formation of abscesses. Tail docking is the only method that eliminates the above-mentioned inconveniences
