We design and build Transformers, Reactors, Inductors, Earthing Transformers and Static Balancers, Variable Autotransformers and Electromagnets for vibration bases; we also provide special construction windings based on specific requests from our Clients.

Founded by Ing. Fausto Braga 65 years ago, Braga is present in the Transformers and windings market. The company headquarters are in Brescia, a highly industrialized city located in the north of Italy, near Milan.

Our highly specialized Personnel works with modern machinery, some of which is developed in-house with our own technologies, in the design and production plant which covers over 27,000 sq. feet.

Choosing a Braga Trasformatori winding means not settling for off-the-shelf items: over the decades we have equipped ourselves with over 120 die-casting molds and 90 punching dies to manufacture parts (brackets, supports, terminals, air channels, etc.) truly custom-made.

Furthermore, we have a warehouse of copper and aluminum conductors (wire, flat wire, sheet) of over 190 sizes constantly in stock; this warehouse, combined with the availability of two internal cutting lines and a stock of sheet metal strips always assorted, allows us to minimize delivery times for most items.

Braga Trasformatori’s internal software

Everything custom-made

Just as we have equipped ourselves with 124 plastic injection molds because we are not satisfied with standard components available on the market, we do not limit ourselves to using off-the-shelf software: for over 30 years Braga Trasformatori has been developing internally its own management software that covers every production, procurement and quality control need. And our IT processes are not limited to design and management: each of our Workers is equipped with their own personal iPad with the Field software, which allows them to view the list of operations to be performed in order of priority, the steps necessary to complete each order, the warehouse items to be used, etc.; with this tool we document every phase of production, including product photographs and testing, ensuring consistent quality.

Born in 1992 as a database for transformer calculation projects, the Braga management software has constantly evolved over time to support in a completely custom way every company function: from the generation of transport documents added immediately after appreciating the advantages of having proprietary software, to the formulation of quotations, orders and order confirmations; from warehouse coding and handling, through the recording of working times, to the generation in PDF format of test reports and drawings, including label printing, 4.0 management of winding machines, control of the laser engraving system and even the telephone switchboard… each of Braga Trasformatori’s internal activities is structured, tracked and reliable over time.
With the intention – fully achieved – of becoming a paperless company and managing in a structured and documented way every phase of work in the Production department, Braga Trasformatori has developed software for mobile devices used every day by each Worker: thanks to Field, every Worker can consult their work queue, view construction specifications, drawings, add and read notes related to production, photograph the different work phases (and review images of past production batches), document testing, mark the status of operations and time spent, communicate ready goods and packaging, unload the warehouse and reorder what is needed… they can even view 3D models of articles in augmented reality!
